Set up your stock ticker
Connect Cloudflare, then add your Finnhub API key. The key stays in Cloudflare and is never added to Ghost.

Add the snippet to Ghost
Your stock ticker is ready. In Ghost, go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. Paste this into Site Header, then select Save.
Write $AAPL in a post paragraph to show an inline stock quote in Taba or Siwa.
Use stock quotes in your theme
In Taba or Siwa, write a symbol such as $AAPL in a post paragraph to show an inline stock quote. Use uppercase US stock symbols with up to five letters.
In Taba, you can also add an internal tag such as #stock-AAPL to a post. Taba shows its stock ticker in the post header and supported post cards.
How this setup protects your key
The setup creates an Aspire Gateway Worker in your Cloudflare account. Your Finnhub API key is stored there as a secret. Your Ghost site only uses the Worker address, so the key is not included in its code.
Add another site or update your API key
Run this setup again using the same Cloudflare account. It adds your website address and keeps your previously connected sites working. All connected sites use the Finnhub key you enter. If you use a different Cloudflare account, replace the snippet in Ghost with the new one.
If the ticker does not appear
- Check that the snippet is in Settings > Advanced > Code Injection under Site Header.
- Check that the post has a symbol such as
$AAPLin a paragraph. For Taba’s post and card tickers, check the internal tag, such as#stock-AAPL. - Refresh the page. If the problem continues, contact Aspire Themes with your site address and the stock symbol you used.
